How to Apply

1. Download the application format (Annexure-A) from the official notification PDF.
2. Fill in the application form in capital letters only.
3. Affix one recent passport size colour photograph duly signed across on the application.
4. Gather all original certificates and documents along with a set of self-attested photocopies.
5. Attend the walk-in interview on 27/10/2026 between 10:00 AM and 01:00 PM.
6. Report at the Centre for L&D, Durgapur Steel Plant, Durgapur-713203, West Bengal.

Documents Required

• Filled-in application Format (Annexure-A) with one recent passport size colour photograph
• Proof of Date of Birth (Matriculation Certificate)
• Certificates & Mark sheets of required qualification
• Caste/Category certificate, wherever applicable
• Experience Certificate(s) and Service Certificate issued by parent organization for retired employees
• Photo Identity Proof (Voter ID / Aadhaar Card / Passport / Driving License etc.)
• NOC from present employer, if employed under PSUs/Autonomous Bodies/Govt. Department
• A Self-Certificate that he/she has not separated due to Voluntary Retirement

SAIL Consultant (Sports Coach) Important Instructions

• The engagement is purely of temporary nature on a tenure basis for a period of one year, extendable twice up to a maximum of three years.
• Ex-employees separated through Voluntary Retirement are not considered for engagement.
• TA/DA for attending the interview is not admissible.
• Selected coaches shall give their services in emergent conditions even beyond normal working hours without extra remuneration.
• Income Tax/GST shall be dealt in terms of applicable provisions under the Income Tax/GST Act.
• The engagement can be terminated by giving one month's notice by either party or forthwith under conditions like poor performance, medical unfitness, or moral turpitude.
