Article Pages Load 60% Faster on Mobile
Performance
We completely rewrote how GS article pages load on mobile. Images now load progressively as you scroll (lazy loading), unnecessary scripts were removed from the initial page load, and fonts load without blocking the first paint. On a typical 4G connection, a full article now appears in under 1.8 seconds.
"Sir please articles ko thoda fast karo, data waste ho jaata hai loading mein"
Mains Answer Analysis Dashboard — Launched
Feature
The most requested feature of 2025 is live. After every Mains practice test, you now receive a full paper-by-paper analysis across GS1, GS2, GS3, GS4, Essay, Ethics, Editorial, and Opinion. Includes mentor feedback, keyword checker, scoring rubric, and a model answer for every question you attempt.
Quiz Timer Freezing on Android Chrome — Fixed
Bug Fix
A critical bug caused the Prelims quiz timer to freeze mid-attempt on Android Chrome 121+. The timer would stop counting but the test would continue, causing confusion about remaining time. This is fully resolved — the timer now syncs with a server-side clock so even if your screen locks, time continues correctly.
"Timer ruk gaya aur mujhe pata hi nahi chala. 20 minute waste ho gaye!"
Night Reading Mode — Smooth Dimming & Warm Tones
UX / Design
Night mode now uses a warm amber-tinted background (instead of harsh pure grey) and reduces blue light more aggressively between 10 PM and 6 AM. Font size in night mode has also been increased by 1pt across article pages. The transition animation between light and dark is now smooth (300ms crossfade) instead of the abrupt flash it was before.

Offline Reading — Save Articles for No-Internet Access
Feature
You can now save any article to read offline. Tap the bookmark icon → "Save for Offline". Saved articles are stored locally on your device (up to 50 articles, ~25MB). Perfect for train journeys, rural areas with poor connectivity, or saving your daily current affairs digest before leaving home. Works on both our PWA and the mobile browser.
"Internet nahi rehta train mein. Kuch kar sako toh great hoga."
Infinite Scroll Rebuilt — No More Blank Gaps
Performance
The current affairs feed used to show blank spaces mid-scroll as the next batch of articles loaded. We've rebuilt the infinite scroll engine from scratch using Intersection Observer API. New articles now preload 3 posts ahead of your current position, so scrolling is completely seamless. Blank gaps are gone. On slow connections, a skeleton loader now appears instead of a blank white block.
"Scroll karte karte beech mein white screen aa jaata hai, bahut irritating hai"
Daily GS Column Now Live by 6:30 AM — Every Day
Content
After extensive feedback that current affairs content was arriving "too late in the day", we restructured our editorial pipeline. The daily GS analysis column (covering The Hindu + Indian Express) is now live on the platform by 6:30 AM IST every morning, including Sundays. You can read it with your morning chai before coaching or college.
Hindi UI Labels Fixed Across 14 Screens
Bug Fix
Several UI elements in the Hindi language mode were displaying placeholder text ("LABEL_UNDEFINED" or English fallback text) due to missing translation keys. We've audited every screen, fixed all 14 affected labels, and added a fallback-check to our deployment process so this cannot happen again. Hindi mode now works completely end-to-end.
Answer Writing Box — Auto-Expand & Word Count Live
UX / Design
The Mains answer writing textarea now auto-expands as you type — no more scrolling inside a tiny fixed box while writing 250-word answers. A live word count appears at the bottom right, colour-coded: grey (under limit), green (ideal range), amber (approaching limit), red (over limit). Helps you write to the correct word count without constant manual counting.
"Word count kaise pata chalega? Manually count karna padta hai har baar"

All Images Converted to WebP — 40% Smaller File Sizes
Performance
Every image across the platform (article thumbnails, diagrams, infographics, profile photos) has been converted from PNG/JPEG to WebP format. This cuts average image file sizes by 38–42% without any visible quality loss. For aspirants on limited mobile data plans, this translates to meaningful savings — a typical current affairs page went from 1.4MB to 820KB.
OTP Login Timeout Extended to 10 Minutes
Bug Fix
The OTP for mobile login was expiring in 3 minutes — too short for aspirants in areas with delayed SMS delivery. The timeout has been extended to 10 minutes. We also added a "Resend OTP" button that becomes active after 60 seconds (previously you had to refresh the entire page). Login failures due to OTP expiry dropped by 78% in testing.
"OTP aate aate expire ho jaata hai, network thoda slow hai yahaan"
Smart Push Notifications — Daily Digest at Your Preferred Time
Feature
You can now set your preferred time to receive the daily current affairs notification. Choose from morning (6:30 AM), afternoon (12:00 PM), or evening (7:00 PM). The notification includes the top 3 topics of the day with direct links. Works on both Android and iOS via the PWA. Opt out anytime from account settings.
Prelims Analysis Page — Visual Redesign
UX / Design
The post-test analysis page for Prelims was completely redesigned. The new version includes a subject-wise accuracy bar chart, a radar chart comparing your score vs UPSC cutoffs, a question-by-question dot map (click any dot to review the answer), and AI-powered insights. The old table-based layout is gone.

PYQ Archive 2014–2025 — Fully Searchable & Filterable
Content
All UPSC Mains previous year questions (GS1, GS2, GS3, GS4, Essay) from 2014 to 2024 are now on the platform — searchable by keyword, filterable by paper and year. Each question is tagged with the editorial coverage it received in The Hindu/Indian Express and mapped to chapters in standard reference books. The archive is free for all registered users.
Server Response Time Cut to Under 200ms for India
Performance
We moved our primary database and CDN edge nodes to Mumbai and Chennai (from Singapore), cutting server response times for Indian users from an average of 480ms to under 190ms. This is a backend infrastructure change — you won't see it in any UI — but you'll feel it: every page tap now responds almost instantly.
SpeakRight — UPSC Interview English Practice Mode
Feature
SpeakRight is now live — an AI English speaking practice tool designed specifically for UPSC interview preparation. It presents you with DAF-based questions, records your spoken response, and gives structured feedback on fluency, vocabulary range, answer structure, and confidence indicators. Completely free for Premium users. Three interview simulation modes: Friendly, Formal, and Stress.
Razorpay Subscription Mandate — Payment Loop Fixed
Bug Fix
A small percentage of users on HDFC and SBI net banking were getting stuck in a payment redirect loop during subscription activation — the page kept returning to the payment page even after successful UPI debit. The issue was a webhook processing race condition on our server. Fixed with idempotent payment confirmation handling. No user was double-charged; affected subscriptions were activated manually.
