Post Vacancies Qualification Required Pay Young Professional-II (YP-II) 01 Essential: Master's degree in Agriculture/ Horticulture/ Plant Pathology/Plant Biotechnology/ Biotechnology/ Biochemistry/ Microbiology/ Botany/ Plant Science/ Life Science or other relevant allied discipline from a recognized University/Institute. Rs. 42,000/- per month (Consolidated) Young Professional-I (YP-I) 01 Essential: Bachelor's degree in Agriculture/ Horticulture/ Plant Science/ Biotechnology/ Life Science or allied agricultural sciences from a recognized University/Institute. Rs. 30,000/- per month (Consolidated) Desirable Qualifications and Age Details YP-II Desirable: Experience in plant tissue culture, plant pathogen/virus detection, ELISA, PCR/RT-PCR, molecular biology, genetic fidelity testing, laboratory quality-control activities or related agricultural biotechnology work. Working knowledge of computer applications, data recording, documentation and preparation of technical reports will be desirable. YP-I Desirable: Practical experience/ working knowledge in plant tissue culture, potato production, nursery/plant hardening, plant propagation, ARC technology, protected cultivation or related agricultural laboratory/field activities. Basic computer knowledge and ability to maintain production records and project documentation will be desirable. Age Limit: Age should be below 30 years as on 01.10.2026. Age relaxation is up to 5 years for SC/ST candidates, and further relaxation may be given to candidates with experience in such type of project/ programme. Venue is the Conference Room Adjacent to the Directorate of Research, RKVY Building, Uttar Banga Krishi Viswavidyalaya, Pundibari, Coochbehar. Preference will be given to candidates whose research interest and work experience has relevance to the mandate of the Project ("Potato Tissue Culture and Apical Rooted Cutting (ARC) Plantlet Production Facility at Uttar Banga Krishi Viswavidyalaya"). The selected candidate will be offered fellowship on a purely temporary contractual basis co-terminus with the project.
