3.3 One Person, One Account (Typical)

Unless a team/business plan is specifically offered, individual subscriptions are for a single user and may not be shared.

4) Plans, Billing & Taxes

We offer free and paid plans that may include monthly, annual, or promotional terms. Prices and features may change from time to time.

• Auto-renewal: Paid plans renew automatically until canceled. You can turn off auto-renew in your account settings at any time.
• Billing cycle: Charges occur at the start of each cycle. Upgrades apply immediately; downgrades take effect the next cycle.
• Taxes & fees: Prices may exclude taxes, foreign transaction fees, or currency conversion fees charged by your bank/payment provider.
• Refunds: Refunds are governed by our Refund & Cancellation Policy.
• Trials & offers: Trials convert to paid unless canceled before the trial ends; once charged, the current cycle is typically non-refundable.

5) License & Permitted Use

Subject to these Terms and any plan limitations, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to access and use the Services for personal, non-commercial use (or internal business use where your plan expressly allows).

5.1 Prohibited Uses (Non-exhaustive)

• Copying, reproducing, or redistributing paid content outside your plan entitlements.
• Automated scraping, bulk downloading, crawling, or data extraction without written permission.
• Reverse engineering, circumventing paywalls/DRM, or attempting to access restricted areas.
• Using the Services to violate law, infringe IP, or harm others.

6) User Content & Conduct

You may post comments, notes, or other materials (“User Content”) where features permit. You retain ownership of your User Content, but you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, display, reproduce, and distribute it for operating and improving the Services.

6.1 Your Responsibilities

• Ensure you have the rights to upload the content you submit.
• Do not post unlawful, defamatory, infringing, deceptive, or harmful material.
• Do not impersonate others or misrepresent affiliations.

6.2 Moderation

We may remove or restrict content or accounts that violate these Terms or applicable law.

7) Intellectual Property

The Services, including articles, videos, designs, interfaces, software, and all related intellectual property, are owned by or licensed to The Aspirant News and are protected by applicable laws. Except for the limited license granted in Section 5, no rights are transferred to you.

7.1 Copyright Notices & Takedowns

If you believe your IP rights have been infringed, email info@theaspirantnews.com with details (work, URL, proof of ownership, and your contact information). We respond to valid notices consistent with applicable law.

8) Third-Party Links & Tools

The Services may link to third-party websites, apps, or payment gateways. We are not responsible for their content, policies, or practices. Your use of third-party services is at your own risk and subject to their terms.

9) Compliance, Misuse & Enforcement

• We may investigate suspected violations and cooperate with law enforcement.
• We may suspend or terminate access for violations, non-payment, fraud, or risk to the platform or users.
• We may apply technical or legal measures to prevent misuse (rate-limits, CAPTCHA, access restrictions).

10) Disclaimers

Informational Purposes: Content is provided for informational and educational purposes only and should not be taken as professional advice (legal, financial, medical, or otherwise). You are responsible for how you use the content.

Services are provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant uninterrupted, timely, secure, or error-free operation.

11) Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, in no event shall The Aspirant News, its directors, employees, or suppliers be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for loss of profits, revenues, data, goodwill, or business opportunities, arising from or related to your use of the Services.

Our total aggregate liability for any claim shall not exceed the amount you paid to us for the Services in the twelve (12) months preceding the event giving rise to the claim, or INR 10,000, whichever is lower.

12) Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless The Aspirant News and its affiliates from any claims, damages, liabilities, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of your: (a) use of the Services; (b) violation of these Terms; (c) User Content; or (d) violation of any law or third-party rights.

We handle personal data in accordance with our Privacy Policy. By using the Services, you consent to our data practices, including international transfers where applicable.

14) Suspension & Termination

• We may suspend or terminate your access immediately for violations of these Terms, legal reasons, non-payment, fraud, or platform risk.
• You may stop using the Services at any time; if you have a paid plan, refer to the Refund & Cancellation Policy.
• Upon termination, your license ends and certain sections survive (e.g., IP, Disclaimers, Liability, Indemnity, Law).

15) Governing Law & Dispute Resolution

These Terms are governed by the laws of India, without regard to conflicts of law principles. Subject to mandatory consumer law, the courts having jurisdiction where our principal place of business is located shall have exclusive jurisdiction.

15.1 Informal Resolution

Before filing a claim, you agree to first email us at info@theaspirantnews.com with “Dispute” in the subject and a description of your issue. We will attempt to resolve it within 30 days.

15.2 Arbitration (Optional Clause)

If stated on your plan or required by local law, disputes may be resolved by binding arbitration under applicable rules. You and we waive class actions to the extent permitted by law.

16) Other Important Terms

• Severability: If any provision is unenforceable, the rest remain in effect.
• No waiver: Failure to enforce a right is not a waiver of future enforcement.
• Assignment: You may not assign these Terms without our consent. We may assign to an affiliate or successor.
• Force Majeure: We are not responsible for delays/failures due to events beyond reasonable control (e.g., natural disasters, outages, strikes, war, changes in law).
• Entire Agreement: These Terms, together with referenced policies, constitute the entire agreement between you and us regarding the Services.
• Headings: Headings are for convenience only and have no legal effect.
• Translations: If these Terms are translated, the English version controls in case of conflict.
• Notices: We may send notices via email, in-product messages, or by posting on the site.
